Los Angeles Zoo-Childrens Discovery Center

A 3,500 square foot new educational center dedicated to educating children through a variety of exhibits, programs, classes and lectures. The building included administrative offices, classrooms and exhibit areas. The Center includes an auditorium, six classrooms, housing for animals used in the ZooMobile program that travels throughout Los Angeles, and a learning center and plaza. The 250-seat auditorium has a sloped-floor theater that will be used for presentations and lectures with a state-of-the-art audio/visual system. Silverm AASs Silverman & Light provided complete electrical engineering and lighting design for this project which was completed in 2006.
