Chris Silverman Principal

Chris has a broad base of experience in managing and delivering successful projects across multiple sectors including healthcare, life sciences, technology campuses, education, civic, and commercial offices. Chris’ management and project delivery style is rooted in collaboration.

He is an active participant in the design-build community, helping Silverman & Light expand their trade partner relationships and ensure the company is delivering projects that are within budget and on schedule. Leveraging his LEAN project delivery and design-build experience, Chris brings a unique perspective to every project. He is actively involved in all projects from the conceptual phase through the construction phase.

With a passion for sustainability, he has extensive experience in helping develop alternative energy concepts for a variety of clients. He was instrumental in helping the Northern California Kaiser Permanente group develop both their current national lighting design standards and their energy fund specifically created to implement creative sustainable engineering solutions to reduce the built environment’s carbon footprint.

His most recent accomplishments have included the implementation of alternative energy concepts to help clients meet their sustainability and net zero energy goals, including fuel cells, co-generation, photovoltaic energy systems, MicroGrids, and Battery Energy Storage Systems while also developing strong business cases to make these concepts viable to our clients.

Schulhoff Tam Principal

Schulhoff has over 30 years of Electrical Engineering experience in multiple industries, ranging from healthcare to biotech, higher education to research laboratories.  He has expertise in low-voltage and medium voltage power distribution design. Some of Schulhoff’s notable projects include the award winning CPMC Sutter Hospital Van Ness Geary Campus, San Francisco Contemporary Jewish Museum, Google Caribbean Campus, and the forthcoming UC Davis Replacement Hospital.

As a Project Principal, Schulhoff overseas daily engineering activities on his projects, manage engineering/design staff, and coordinates with Owners/Architects, trade partners, and governing agencies. Schulhoff’s experience from executing projects using different project deliveries such as IPD and design-build, provides wide flexibility in adapting to various design-construction methodologies to provide value to our clients.

Joe Bazzell Principal
