COMUNITY HOSPITAL OF THE MONTEREY PENINSULA (CHOMP) HOSPITAL EXPANSIONINFO
 

The $170 million hospital expansion and renovation included approximately 200,000 SF of new construction and 90,000 SF of renovation. The hospital addition consists of the new three-story South and Forest Pavilions which provided the hospital with a new patient wing, diagnostic unit, treatment wing, Emergency Department, operating suites, and a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The project also included a new three-level underground parking-garage, located under the renovated and expanded main entrance. In addition, the project included a new Central Utility Plant (CUP) featuring two paralleled emergency generators, and a 1.2-megawatt Co-Generation facility.
