HILLTOP HIGH SCHOOLINFO

Hilltop High School is a continuation school developed to support the completion of secondary education for pregnant teens for the San Francisco Unified School District.

The original campus was constructed in 1937 as a school for children affected by polio and heart ailments. The Hilltop High School project included a complete renovation of the historical building to support it’s new use.
The electrical and lighting design was carefully developed with the goal of preserving the architectural character of this historically significant building, including the refurbishment of the historical pendants in the original dining room.

Contemporary fixtures were selected to complement and highlight architectural elements. Additional project areas included student drop-off, the new campus entry, a multi-purpose room, classrooms, the central courtyard, the kitchen, the solarium, the toddler area and the infant care areas.
