Winner of the AIACC Award of Merit for Urban Design in 2009, Jessie Square consist of a 35,000 SF landscaped public plaza that sits on top of the Jessie Square garage extending the district’s green space from the lush Yerba Buena Gardens. The plaza features a low, terraced water fountain with inset pebbles, large lawn areas with wood benches, exposed aggregate concrete paving with accent stone insets, and a row of Gingko trees providing shade canopy to the outdoor eating area.

Silverman & Light provided electrical engineering for the urban park and the parking garage below. The exterior lighting was part of Jewish Museum project that was also designed by Silverman & Light.
