The new hospital tower includes 188 beds, Emergency Department (ED) with ten new operating rooms, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a transitional care unit, a labor and delivery suite, medical surgical units, and an inpatient rehabilitation unit that provides state of the art rehab services to Kaiser Members throughout Northern California. The replacement hospital and backfill renovation work demanded careful phased incremental construction packages to minimize disruption to the operating medical center.
