OAKLAND FOX THEATERINFO

The historic Fox Oakland Theater originally opened in 1928, as a classic movie theater showing films to audiences until 1970. After being closed for more than 30 years, the building was in dire need of rehabilitation.

As part of the team that provided a comprehensive rehabilitation of the historic theater, Silverman & Light provided electrical engineering and lighting design.

The remarkable theater re-opened in 2009 as a 2,800 seat concert hall to serve the residents of the Bay Area once again.
