The award-winning Net Zero Energy (NZE), Fitwell Certified, LEED Gold Lighthouse Amenity Building located on the Alexandria Real Estate Life Science Gateway Campus in South San Francisco is a shared amenity building located in the building of the biotech campus.

The sustainable design consists of a single-story mass timber structure with a glulam framing system and CLT panels engineered to reduce the building’s carbon footprint. The 22,000 SF building includes a café, dining space, lounge, meeting center, fitness facility, and private offices. The building generates all its energy on-site utilizing a photovoltaic solar array and advanced battery energy storage system (BESS) helping it achieve the Net Zero Energy certification.
